Border of a Header in a gridview

I want to set the border of a header (only) in a gridview as show below pls tell me how to do it?

try this: define a style: .myheader th { background-color:White; border-color:Black; border-style:solid; border-width:2; color:White; } in grid pre render event do this: protected void GridView1_OnPreRender(object sender EventArgs e) { GridView1.Style[border-collapse] = seperate; } in your gridview set this: HeaderStyle-CssClass=myheader
