Difference between asp and .net ASP has Mixed HTML and coding logic where in asp.net html and coding part are separated by code behind files. ASP support only connected architecture where in asp.net support connected and disconnected both ASP has maximum of 4 built in classes like Request Response Session and Application where in ASP.NET using .NET framework classes which has more than 2000 built-in classes. ASP doesn't support Page level transactions where in ASP.NET supports Page level transactions. ASP is interpreted ASP.NET is compiled. No server side control in asp where in asp.net have rich server side control. asp.net have validation controls ( custom validator range validator regular expression compare and require field validation control) which makes your job easier.

C# is a CLS programming language designed for the .NET framework. ASP.NET is part of the .NET framework allowing you to write web applications using any CLS compliant language such as C# VB.NET F# ... What you are referring to original asp language is called Classic ASP and it is not a language. It is a framework for developing web applications using VBScript and JScript languages. It is now considered deprecated technology and Microsoft recommends using ASP.NET for developing new applications.

C# and ASP.Net are completely differnt  where c# is a language under .Net framework which can be used to develop windows and web based application asp.net is .Net technology used to develop web applications.

dear sir .net is a plat form where multiple programeing languages(like vb.netC#.net ...) intigriticaly runing .so C# is a programing language and asp is also a language which has unmanaged (not run in clr) code but asp.net is the advance of asp for web application running in clr means managed code can written in vb or c# language
