C# controls

Question

I and another girl developer at worI want to to know how to do the following in a C#.NET 3.5 non-web application:
1. I have a delgate in one project and I want to have the delegate be executed from a click event in another project. How do I setup this type of a project refernce?
(Note: This is existing code that is not working. Some other programmer wrote it.)
2. I have setup a control that I want to share with several projects within one solution and a copy of different solutions. Thus can you tell me:
a. How to compile(build) the custom contol to generate a DLL?
b. Once I have the DLL, where do I place in the folders so that various projects can access it?
C. What do I do in the .net to solution to add it (be connencted) to other parts of the solution? What should I do to include the custom control in other C#.net solutions?

A delegate cannot be executed. A delegate is just a way to refer to functions. There must be a function to be executed. Calling a delegate is like calling a phone book; if there is no phone numbers in the phone book then there is nothing to call. If there is more than one number in a phone book then we need to know what number in the phone book to call. Getting code to work that someone else wrote but did not finish is not easy; it is likely quite difficult. Anyone trying to finish it must become familiar with the code and the requirements and that could take as much time as was spent by the person writnig the code. In addition to that if the reason the code was not finished is that the programmer was having difficulties writing the software or getting it to work then getting it to work might be more work than writing the software from scratch. If the reason they did not finish it is that they were expecting payment that they did not receive then it would be foolish for other programmers to try to help if the assistance requires more time than what they can provide for free.

Create a Class Library project. In that project create a UserControl and build the project. Then to test it create a Forms project and add a reference to the Class Library project. The UserControl should be in the Toolbox. When you are ready to install it in other systems use the deployment tools to create a setup for your Class Library project. I am not familiar with the options available currently for creating setups so I can't help a lot with that but a setup program will install the class library for you. Note that setup programs are often called deployment so you can look for documentation and otehr articles about that.
