c# create Access 2007 database?

Question

I've seen a lot of examples to query from an access 2007 database. But is it possible for c# to create an access 2007 database from scratch? I've used ADOX and ADODB in the past to create an access database and some tables in it. Do I have to stick with ADOX to create the Access 2007 database in Visual Studio 2010?

I don't know what is causing that but ADOX works for me. I am using Windows 7 and VS 2010 Professional. Is your program a 32-bit only program? My suggestion would be to diagnose the problem causing the error. An alternative would be to use Access as in the Access Object Model. I have not looked but I assume that Access can be used to create an Access database.

well my issue of using ADOX is that VS 2010 is giving me a hard time when I try to add the ADOX reference... VS 2010 keeps giving me this error where it says: Encountered multiple versions of the assembly with GUID 'ff5f0d26-58ad-448e-8264-4896a1489f27'. Try pre-importing one of these assemblies

What is the problem with ADOX? I am not asking for the purposes of trying to convince you to not use it or to use it.

I am afraid you may have to stick with ADOX. Wonder if you create a physical .mdb file and use OleDb to connect to the database and use Create Database and other SQL statement. I have not tried it but worth a try. Creating a SQL Server Database Programmatically
