Volt Technical Resources has an approximately one year contract position open at the Software Giant in Redmond, WA for a solid C# Developer who has some experience developing in a backend SQL environment, as well as some application development experience.
The team is working on a multi-tier Developer portal that allows OEMs and independent Software Developers to track their hang/crash statistics, request debug dumps and additional information to resolve them, hooking up responses that will download fixes into the user’s machines at crash time. The team is redesigned the system from scratch to incorporate all the features needed to allow independent software vendors to engage strongly in debugging and fixing their problems. In order to build an effective service the team has to interact closely with internal and external Software Developers.
The team is looking for a motivated Software Development Engineer with strong technical, coding and design skills to participate and help drive the automation and quality assurance efforts in the team. Candidates need to feel comfortable developing in a test environment. This is not just a test team, but a quality assurance team, participating as an equal part in all phases of product development - requirement analysis, design, coding and bug fixing/maintenance - while driving the QA team to continually gain depth of knowledge in the system itself as well as related technologies. The team uses Agile and SCRUM development procedures. Working with this team is definitely a great opportunity for someone interested in improving their knowledge in the areas of C# programming, SQL databases, performance, scalability and reliability of backend services.
Requirements:
Skills Required for these Lab Tech Engineers:
- Candidates need to have solid C# application development skills.
- Candidates need to be good coders.
- Candidates need to have experience with SQL. They do not need SQL Developers but at least a good fundamental knowledge of it and the more experience the better.
- Candidates need to have a good test Testing Aptitude.
- Plus: BS Computer Science is a big bonus.
