C# how to make my GUI box grow in length.

Question

What im trying to do is alot like the menu in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGrEgColc_0

The only difference is that my menu would be growing downward, but all im trying to do is get this same effect that was in this menu. I know the menu in the vid was made with C++, but since C# is a lot like C++ I thought this might be possible.

Im working with this game development program called unity....it is able to process many languages including......

C#, javascript/uniscript, boo, and lua

Yes it can be difficult to describe things. I understand that. I am not sure what you need to do for the highlighting part. The most important thing that we need to know is what type of control that you are using for the menu. Do you know what I mean? Maybe you don't know what control you are using. I am not sure what controls are available in Unity. Is it the one whose web site is unity3d.com?

Srry I did not describe my problem out very well...Im terrible at describing things in full detail . Anyways I seem to be facing a new problem now. I figured out my last problem but now im focusing on somthing else. The thing im focusing on is the shadar or highlighter...or whatever you would like to call it. Its the thing that shows which option you are on. Im trying to make it so it goes up and down in other words so it can scroll through the options....Like in the vid where you see the blue highlighter/shader that scrolls through the options. That is what I am trying to do now. I would try and add a bit more detail but I dont now any other way that I could describe it. Anyways thanks for your help Hobbs. Im not much of a programmer yet but for what im doing for my videogame I need to make a menu. Im more of a 3d designer and graphic artist at the moment but I hope to study programming languages hopefully over the summer.

That Youtube video is more than 4 minutes long. I do not see what you are refering to in the first minute or so. Instead of asking each of us to invest a few minutes to attempt to understand the problem it would help if you can invest the time to specify what you need to do. If you do you might be able to solve the problem yourself. Try to understand what you need to do. Note that at the other extreme beginners often try to solve a problem and they ask for help with the solution and usually the solution they have chosen is not the best one for the fundamental problem. So if you can simply describe what needs to be done from a non-programmer user's point of view then that will help everyone.
