C# How to password protection application for hard drives?

May i know how do i create an application for hard drives and thumb drives which will prompt the user for password before access/reformatting the computer.

A simple way would be add this password requirement inside the constructor. So when ever the constructor is called you prompt the user for password. But would always prompting the user for a password solve this? No! You have to make sure that you prompt the user very less often for the password. So instead of this you should ask for password the first time he starts the computer and goes to a drive. Otherwise if he has already provided the password and goes to drive... Allow him!

Hi I do know the concept you are going but may I know what reference can I further read up on to create the constructor that will prompt the user to provide a password and for the following attempts to key in the password. As I am a currently a student I am still in the mids of researching on how to create an application to secure the thumbdrive.
