C# Integration with Barcode Printers

Question

Hi I am developing now an application that will generate barcode for items and I need the application to print this barcode and I don't have any experience how to integrate with printers. My question what I need to use barcode printers? Is this a straightforward? or need to know more about Printer API? I've already see articles about specific model EPSON L90 and its APIs but I need more examples to see how to walkthrough. Thanks

If you have a specific printer and the vendors provide programming API to communicate with the printer you can use it. If your application intends to work with different printers (barcode and normal printers) you need to generate the barcode alone either using barcode fonts or a programming toolkit like LEADTOOLS that provides function to write different barcode types for details see the following: http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/690035/Choosing-the-Right-Barcode-for-Your-Application Make sure to change the paper size to match the target printer supported sizes.
