Question

What library do you recommend to use to achieve high performance yet have an easy API.

Remoting seems to be promising but callbacks to the client are complicated to achieve. Or is there any easy way to update information on the client side using .NET remoting.

Colleagues said that WCF is nice to use but not very efficient. Is that true or should I stick with it?

use remoting or wcf (net 3.0). wcf is much easier to use but it is fairly new to the scene.
