C# on the web?

Question

I created a C# application using VS2005. My question is will I be able to post this application to a web page where users can access it? If so, how would I do this? I want users to access the application through a web page rather than install it to their desktop.

In VS 2005 did you create your application as an ASP.NET Web Application or Windows Application? You must create an ASP.NET application to host it on a Web Server for users to use it. See ASP.NET section of this site to learn how to build ASP.NET applications. If you have already built an ASP.NET application look at Deployment section of this site to learn how to deploy it. To deploy your application you need following: 1. IIS Web Server on the machine you are deploying the application 2. Create a Virtual directory on IIS 3. Copy your project files in virtual directory give user permissions if needed Then you can access your application from any machine. Need to make sure your server is accessible by outside users. Note: Silverlight is a new (another way) technology to build Web apps using .NET 3.5. BUT NOT REQUIRED IF YOU DON'T WANT.
