Question

Hi Team I am new to this .Net Field. I just wanted to create a textbox and a button in one form1.cs (C#) . After entering the text in textbox1 click button it should redirect to form2.cs and to display the content in a textbox2. Please help me on this.

The problem is that if you close form1 which I assume is your start-up form it will close the entire application. However what you can do is to make form1 invisible when form2 is shown and then make it visible again when form2 is closed: // form1.cs public partial class Form1 : Form { public Form1() { InitializeComponent(); } private void button1_Click(object sender EventArgs e) { Form2 f2 = new Form2(textBox1.Text); this.Visible = false; f2.Show(this); // use Show(this) now rather than ShowDialog() } } // form2.cs public partial class Form2 : Form { public Form2(string text) { InitializeComponent(); textBox1.Text = text; } // add this handler via the Properties box not directly private void Form2_FormClosed(object sender FormClosedEventArgs e) { this.Owner.Visible = true; } }

Hi When I execute this code actually both the forms are active. Could you pls suggest me how to display data only in form2 by disabling form1. In simple when i type data in form 1 form 1 should be closed and form 2 should pop up showing the data. Regards Simbu
