i am opening a new window from an exising one. how can i close the first window without affecting the second.

Your question is not clear so far....Please clear the folowing doubtso that someone from forum will help you up. Are you using windows application or web application? If you are using windows application then are you using mdi form or simple form? How do you want to close the eindow?? As soon as second window appear it will automatically close the first window or from second window through click on a control you want to close the first form?
