calculate total rows of datagrid

i have table with following rows student_id name Balance now i want to calculate total balance at the bottom of datagridviewany a idea on how to do it

Hello @Carlos you can achieve this using two ways first is using data table Float Count; Float Total=0; foreach(DataRow Dr in _Tab.Rows) { float.TryParse(Dr[Balance ].ToString() out Count); Total+=Count; } GridView1.FooterRow.Cells[SumColumn].Text = Sum.ToString(); Here Put Your table name instead of _Tab and second is using datagridview Float Count; Float Total=0; foreach(DataGridViewRow Dr in dataGridView1.Rows) { float.TryParse(Dr.Cells[2].ToString() out Count); Total+=Count; } GridView1.FooterRow.Cells[SumColumn].Text = Sum.ToString(); according my advice you should be prefer first method

Hi carlos After bind the dataGridView. You can use DataSourceChanged event. There you have to apply a loop to add all the balance.
