Calling Executables from a Windows Service

Can this be done? If so what is the C# syntax? I know it can be done from a .NET application but can it be done from a Windows Service? Thanx!

Almost anything that can be done from a console app can be done from a service. If you can write it as a console app just remove all the I/O and put that class in a service. The ALMOST part comes in interacting with the desktop. For applications that work as console apps but not as services just configure the service (in the service management console) to allow interact with desktop. These are usually GDI operations and such.
