List of Web Technologies in asp.net List of Programming Languages (general)

I'd be struggling on the first point but, on the second point, there are literally thousands of programming languages though perhaps only a hundred or so which are commonly used. This link ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_programming_languages ) lists all notable languages (excluding esoteric ones) and this link ( http://www.tiobe.com/index.php/content/paperinfo/tpci/index.html ) controversially show the relative popularity of the best known ones.

Vulpes, Ya, good catch. Its must be List of technologies for web development related to ASP.NET . Because last day i was updating one job site, they asking for this list. I got little confused. I thought of asking here. The second point i just copy pasted here, its not relevant here.

Just coming back to that first point, I've been thinking (in the light of your other thread about WCF) what I'd say in response to that question at an interview. I'd feel like saying: "What exactly do you mean by a web technology?" but, if I could suppress that urge, I think I'd say that there are basically two types of ASP.NET technology: Web Forms and MVC. Other technologies used include client-side scripting and AJAX.
