Can any one please make me clear of the difference between Debugging And Tracing

Question

As debugging is also to diagnose the behaviour of the application so not able to clearly understand the difference between these two processes. Please help me to resolve this.

Thanks Prathi I went through the article. The content was good. Its more on implementaing the methods that are provided by the Debug and Trace class. But one more thing that i found on my search on the topic and also more relevant to me that: -->Debug code runs on the same thread being debugged. So if you wish to do the performance analysis with debug logs enabled you will not get the exact efficiency figures since the thread will also spend some time to execute the debug statements and doing the IO operations. And considering the Trace: -->Unlike Debug the trace works in both release as well as debug mode. The main advantage can be achieved using the tracing for the performance analysis. The Trace code runs on the separate thread and not keeping the main performing thread busy with the IO operations. Any way thanks a lot for the suggested article.
