i am .net developer with 5 years experience.I want to do MBA as it provides healthy salary.It would be good to shift from technical to management or i go with latest technologies to get best salary.

Thank you Nigel for your great advice. Actually i am tired of writing codeso i thought of changing to management because at some point i would have to shift to management(after 2-3 years).

Developers are currently the most in demand career. I know of many MBA people who do not get jobs as quickly as developers do. And as far a I know .Net is one of the best techologies. And on a side note go in a career you enjoy  dont necessary look for best salary.

If you don't like writing code you can shift towards management by taking up managerial activities in your current employment. Activities such as team management interacting with customers understanding project and requirement from the manager point of view instead of technical costing of project team performance etc. About salary... there are technical professional who are earning more than managers because they are the best in what they do. They keep learning new things. They keep themselves updated with the latest technology trends. They do their job with best quality. They follow best practices and stadards. Simple example people who become MVP on C-sharpcorner are not the ones who just write code. So it's eventually up to you to decided what you enjoy doing and what you need to do to get there.
