Career in windows phone App Development

Hi....I am having 6 months of experience in Windows Phone App development... ..... I am a MCA Student... Can anybody please suggest me what are its prospects in industry as a fresher and what is the career opportunity and career growth for windows phone app development.

Mobile development is still in novice stage and much has to come in times. No doubt you are in very prospective zone in future scope of career view. You can just imagine how Microsoft is promoting by sharing most of revenue from apps to developers. Also there are other platforms where you can make good sum. Best of Luck!!!

Anirban I would think you have several options. You could start by looking on monster.com or dice.com for Windows Phone developer positions; I did a quick search and came up with this one pretty quickly: http://jobview.monster.com/Windows-phone-developer-Job-San-Francisco-CA-123506765.aspx . You might want to consider mobile application development for the windows phone platform as a good skill to have but you will find a lot more options available to you if you combine your job searches to include other .NET related development skills along with mobile application development. That is to say, a lot of Microsoft development shops may express an interest in your Windows Phone development skills but could better justify hiring you if you could also work on something like ASP.NET MVC 4 development as well - I would not limit myself to developing exclusively for the phone platform. Another potential target would be companies that engage in mobile application development across multiple platforms. They might hire iOS, Android, and Windows Phone developers - you could approach such companies looking for a slot in their Windows Phone developer group.
