Cell splitting in datagridview

Question

Hi all I want Cell splitting Option in Datagridview using Windows application. i.e One cell has to divide 2 cell first cell has 1 dataproperty name 2nd cell has another data property Name. Please give me a solution..

I am sorry I did not see your latest reply. This forum's software does not notify people about replies such as yours so it is difficult to determine when someone posts a clarification. Look in the MSDN for articles and other documentation about  Complex Data Binding ; that allows you to bind multiple fields to one control. Usually complex binding is used to bind data from multiple rows to a control but it can be used to bind multiple fields from one row as you need. I don't know how to do that and it is difficult to find documentation of it but I think you can solve your problem by creating a UserControl that uses complex data binding.

Thanks for Your Reply Sam. I want to merge 2 columns between Newline/Carriage return. Because I want to First column value is in top & 2nd column value is followed by Ist column value on second line. Both Column values are in Single Column. I want to get from query O/P then I need to fill in grid using .NET.... I used the following query... Select 'chris'+ char(13) + 'cintrella' as Name But Its work in query result as text not as table. In Datagridview I want to display the first name & last name. But both are display in same column. But Different to display. If resize the column means dont wrap the text. In Asp.NET means i have to add 2 labels/ text box in a single column. But windows application Give me a idea Please.

Why can't you simply use 2 columns? I don't understand; I think there is something you are not telling us. Will there always be two cells? If there will not always be two cells then you need to explain that. If there will not always be two cells then you can use a UserControl in a column and then the UserControl can make either one or two cells. The one or two cells can be textboxes.
