Change the location of Mdi Child forms...

Question

I am developing a windows app using c#. I have mdi parent form in which form border style is set to none (none for all forms).

In mdi parent form on top there is a label with size 761,57 at location 0,1. and below that there is menustrip with size 76,21 (width may increase depending upon the menus) at location 1,58.

Now I want to want that when child form is opened it should appear below menustrip. how can it be done with code ??

Well its not a big deal you can set the location property like below frmCreateClient childForm = new frmCreateClient(); childForm.MdiParent = this ; childForm.Text = New Client ; childForm.StartPosition = FormStartPosition.Manual; // needs to be mannual int y = menustrip1.Height + menustrip1.Location.Y+1; //+1 for a gap childForm.Location = new Point(1 y); childForm.Show(); Hope this helps

I got the answer :- int y = menuStrip1.Location.Y + menuStrip1.Height + 1; you wrote :- int y =menustrip1.Location.Y+1; is the position where menustrip starts.
