Chat in mvc asp.net through razor engine

Question

I have to integrate a chatting solution like social sites provide in their website. So i need some codes and ideas which help me to do my job. I want to save chat in database.

The method to save the chat in the database is similar to storing the data in database. Data can be anything so it can be a message along with the UserID of the user who sent the message. You can create a table for this Messages UserId | Message | Time Then fill it with the data when user sends the messages using the service. Each message would always move through the server before going down to the clients. Then you can store that message in the database something like INSERT INTO Messages (UserID Message Time) VALUES (@0 @1 @2) Then pass the parameters to fill the details and that is how you can store the message in the database.
