Click and Double Click Event

Question

In my application my form has both click and doble click event; so whenever the double click event is raised it also invokes the click event. Do you have any idea to solve this problem? Thanks.

It is normal for it to behave like this. Just get rid of the event handler for the Click event. This way the only method called will be the event handler for the MouseDown event.

You probably aren't double-clicking fast enough. Check out the Control Panel for the mouse. The double-click speed can be set from there. Try setting it to a slow speed and see if it helps. However the double-click speed in .NET may be independent of the computer's control panel so I don't know if it will work.

Thank you mate! I try this method but it doesn't work. Whenever I double-click it always calls the Click Event Handle then the Double Click Event Handle. Any suggestion?

Handle them both in the MouseDown method of your form: this.MouseDown+=new EventHandler(mouse_down); public void mouse_down(object sender MouseEventArgs e) { if(e.Clicks==1) { //execute code for single click } if(e.Clicks==2) { //execute code for double-click } }
