Clone of Desktop Sidebar application ? ?

dear all

I want to make a clone of Desktop slidebar application using C# or Vb.

My application should run various other application like calculator, Sicky notes, Rss reader, etc
in a single sidebar.

or, how to make desktop widgets and insert them in a normal desktop applications.
