Code Required to put data in text box on selection of cmbbx

Question

I have one combo box and five text box.I required a code that when a user select an item from the combo box then the correspondence data should be in the five text box. Thanks

As Abrar said you're still not setting the DataSource property which is why the code is not working. If you replace this code: For Each dRow As DataRow IN myDataSet.Tables(tbleEmpl).Rows ComboBox1.Items.Add(dRow.Item(EmpName)) Next with this: ComboBox1.DataSource = myDataSet.Tables(tbleEmpl).DefaultView ComboBox1.ValueMember = EmpName ComboBox1.DisplayMember = EmpName then it should work.

Well in the previous image that you posted it looked to me like the name of the column was 'Salry' (not 'Salary' as I'd have expected). However I've just noticed that the table was called 'tbl' in that image and the one we're using now is called 'emp'. So does the latter table have columns with the same names?

Ah just noticed that this line is only fetching the EmpName column: Dim cmd As OleDbCommand = New OleDbCommand(SELECT EmpName FROM emp con) You need it to fetch all 3 columns so change it to: Dim cmd As OleDbCommand = New OleDbCommand(SELECT * FROM emp con)

Well you're now populating the combobox 'manually' rather than using data-binding. The DataSource will therefore be Nothing and the code won't work. Also the code needs to be in the ComboBox_SelectedIndexChanged method rather than in Form_Load. Hello According to your instruction i have made some change and put only two text boxes instead of five to clear things.Text Box1 and Text Box2.Now i set your code in such a way that when i select any item from the combo boxthe two text boxes pick the data of next two column.I mean that when i select any name from combo box  then the Text Box 1 Shows his ID and Salary.I change your code according to this but when i run the code it execute successfully but the text boxes shows nothing.I m attached my code screenshot please let me guide and point out my mistake i will be very thank full to you.

It looks like the name of the displayed column in the combobox is EmpName rather than EmpID so you'll need to change the code to the following.
