Microsoft's FxCop ( http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx?ProjectName=codeanalysis&ReleaseId=553 ) tool can perform automated code analysis/review for you according to a large number of predefined best practice rules. You can also alter these rules and enable/disable rules. I can highly recommend this tool and the best thing is that it is free! By checklist do you mean I know my code is done and ready when everything is checked? if so thats interesting I'd like to see that too.
