HI Santosh Collections provide a more flexible way to work with groups of objects. Unlike arrays the group of objects you work with can grow and shrink dynamically as the needs of the application change. Generics were added to version 2.0 of the C# language and the common language runtime (CLR). Generics introduce to the .NET Framework the concept of type parameters  which make it possible to design classes and methods that defer the specification of one or more types until the class or method is declared and instantiated by client code. Hi Gnerics provides the type safe code with re-usability like as algorithm. In algorithms such as sorting searching comparing etc. you don’t specify what data type(s) the algorithm operates on. The algorithm can be operates with any types of data. In the same way Generics operate you can provide different data type to Generics. Hi Collection classes are used for storing data and retrieve dynamically. It is present System.Collection namespace. ArrayList HashTable SortedList are example of Collection class. Generics are also used storing data and retrieve dynamically but difference is once you declare generic type you can't store other data types. For instance you declare a list of strings(List ) then you can't store integer in that list. It is present System.Collection.Generic.
