Combo Box?

Hello. I am trying to create a program. But I have run into a problem. What would the code be for 'if' a certain item is selected in a combo box?

The ComboBox has a property named SelectedItem which will hold the current item selected in the combo box. Suppose the items that you have added to your combo box are all strings; "Astring", "Bstring", "Cstring" etc. you could check to see which one is the currently selected one using the code below: string selectedItem = (string)comboBox.SelectedItem; if(String.Equals(selectedItem, "Bstring")) { // Do something } If you want to know when the selected index for the combo box has changed you need to hook up the handler which can be done as below: comboBox.SelectedIndexChanged += new EventHandler(ComboBoxSelectedIndexChanges); define the ComboBoxSelectedIndexChanged handler as below: private void ComboBoxSelectedIndexChanged(object sender, EventArgs e) { // Do the code for checking the selected item here } Hope this helps

Hook the SelectedIndexChanged event for your combobox. You can check to see if the item in question has been selected in your event handler.

Hello I am trying to make it so that when you select a certain item in a combobox (Drop Down Menu) that it does something. So its in an If statement. Can anyone help me please? Here is what i have been trying to use Code: if (cmbMove.SelectedValue.Equals(Training))
