combo box selection

I have added a combo box to a form now I have to read the user selected string and load another form how do I do it??

As you're asking the two questions together I assume that the ComboBox contains the names of other Form classes in the same application and you want to load the selected Form. Something similar to the following code should do it: if (comboBox1.SelectedIndex > -1) { string formName = comboBox1.SelectedItem.ToString(); string nameSpace = WindowsFormsApplication1; Type t = Type.GetType(nameSpace + . + formName); Form f = Activator.CreateInstance(t) as Form; if (f != null) f.Show(); } WindowsFormsApplication1 should be replaced with the actual namespace (as a string) that the forms are in - hopefully the same one for them all.
