Compare two Dates from back end and front end

Question

I am working in instute site in which i allocate batches for faculity i want that a batch which is running between particular dates no other batch is scheduled at that period.

I have used between query for start date between start and end date in database.But not getting proper validation.

Please revert me back

Why are you converting your dates to varchars and then back to dates? Is it because you're trying to remove the time portion of the datetime fields?

I am selecting from date and to date from a dropdown list. Syntax should goes like this: select * from Transactionlogs where Convert(datetimeconvert(varchartlg_dtm_Datetime101)101) between Convert(datetimeconvert(varchar' + dtpFromdate.Text.ToString() + '101)101) and Convert(datetimeconvert(varchar' + dtpToDate.Text.ToString() + '101)101);
