Comparing Two ListBox Items

Question

Hi everyone
Can you please let me know how I can compare two listbox items in C sharp?.For example if I have a listBox 1 populated with 5 city names as[Vancouver,Richmond, Delta, Surrey,Burnaby] and another list box called listBox2 and contains 7 city names as [Vancouver,Richmond, Delta, Surrey,Burnaby, Coquitlam, Mission].How can I disaplay the intersect and differences of two list boxes in two listbox as share List and different list?

Although Shrikant's code for finding the difference between the two sets works in this particular example it wouldn't work if the items in listBox1 were not a subset of those in listBox2. Suppose for example you had this: string[] city1 = { Vancouver Richmond Delta Abbotsford Kelowna}; string[] city2 = { Vancouver Richmond Delta Surrey Burnaby Coquitlam Mission }; listBox1.Items.AddRange(city1); listBox2.Items.AddRange(city2); then Surrey Burnaby Coquitlam and Mission would appear in the difference but Abbotsford and Kelowna would not. You can deal with this problem by adding an additional foreach loop to Shrikant's code as follows: foreach (var objLI in listBox1.Items) { if (!listBox2.Items.Contains(objLI)) listBox4.Items.Add(objLI); // Different List }
