Confirmation Message

Question

Is there a way to have a confirmation message appear for a brief amount of time after a user clicks on a button? This would be similar to a message box in foxpro.

That gives instructions to the user when they mouse over the button. It is independent of the user actually clicking the button. I was looking for a way to display a message only after the user clicks on the button. Does that help clarify my question?

One option worth considering is using a tooltip to show a balloon tip instead of MessageBox - Showing error/info messages to users
