Connecting to database SQL server 2008 in remote machine using c#

my database is in a remote server in Sql server 2008 I m using .net Framework 3.5 how should i connect it through c# code. ?

I also face this problem i have a software now i want to install SQL in only server and use from other 10 client pc.. my connection string is data source=192.168.1131433; Network Library=DBMSSOCN; initial Catalog=ndts_tm247; integrated security=true;; I already use id n Password but no same problem coming again n again. i had also change my port no from the fire wall n my tcp/ip is also enable. but it not works.. any one can help me so please do.... my email is sengar.shourya@gmail.com or just give me a miss call Mob:+91-8010359695

if you are using IP to connect use following as a connection string and try Data Source=190.190.200.1001433;Network Library=DBMSSOCN;Initial Catalog=myDataBase; User ID=myUsername;Password=myPassword;

i think your connection string should be start with Data Source not with Network Library.

it means you are running SQL on Remote and an application is on your machine. if it is so try to ping the server or try to connect SQL by putting Server Name  User Name and Password on your machine if it is not then need to check some other way.

Hi Are u able to connect to Sql Server on your remote server by using this information Server Name: 113.30.141.101433 Login:sa Password:Mypassword If not plz check it to correct network related error. Hope it will help.
