Asp.net hyperlink contain this property target. It's is different type if you are giving any hyperlink in your application to navigate the page if you want to open the hyperlink in new window you can specify target=blank and othe option.

Some Content Specifies where to open the target URL. Possible Values: _blank - the target URL will open in a new window _self - the target URL will open in the same frame as it was clicked _search - the target URL will open in the search pane _top - the target URL will open in the full body of the window _parent - the target URL will open in the parent frameset framename - specify a target frame name
