Conversion of char string into int

Hi friends  I want to know that i have a character string and i want to convert it into int then how it is possible to convert please explain?

I was thinking before that Amit wanted to convert any character string to an int which isn't possible. However if the string represents an int (such as 123 or 4567) then you can of course parse it to an int. The methods which could be used would be: int i = Int32.Parse(123); Console.WriteLine(i); // 123 int j; bool isValid = Int32.TryParse(4567 out j); if (isValid) Console.WriteLine(j); // 4567 int k = Convert.ToInt32(890); Console.WriteLine(k); // 890 Convert.ToInt32 also has overloads which enables you to convert hex octal or binary strings to ints.

Whatever we input from the console screen is realized as a string and converts it to a form of our choice. Please explain the string to int convertion in detail.

You can't convert a string into an int. However you can convert a single char into an int: char c = 'A'; int i = (int)c; Console.WriteLine(i); // 65
