I got answer.. System.Globalization.CultureInfo info = new System.Globalization.CultureInfo("en-US"); String.Format(info, Convert.ToString("{0:$#,##0.00}"), Convert.ToDouble(5.35)); This gives result for 2 decimal places

If the current culture doesn't use dollars as its currency, then the easiest way is to just stick a dollar sign on the front of the number, formatted to 2 decimal places: decimal d = 123.4m; string dollars = "$" + d.ToString("F"); Console.WriteLine(dollars); // $123.40 More generally, you can do this: var ci = System.Globalization.CultureInfo.GetCultureInfo("en-us"); string dollars2 = d.ToString("C", ci); Console.WriteLine(dollars2); // $123.40
