You can use this which will concatenate each element of an array. string[] str = { John Mike }; string str1 = string.Concat(str); Or you can go for the option suggest by @Vulpes where you can add any separator between array element.

You can't - there are no explicit conversions defined between the two types. However you can do something like this: string[] array = {Gurjeet Singh}; string name = String.Join(  array);
