converting U.S. Datetime into indian Date time

Question

Hi Guys I m new in .net and i want to convert US datetime into Indian DateTime .please help me for that. actually when i upload something it is according to my system's datetime but when i want to acess the results from the server it shows date time according to servers datetime.....so plz help me

It depends of course on which US time zone the server is in and which Indian time zone you're in but the basic code to do the conversion is as follows: DateTime dt = DateTime.UtcNow; TimeZoneInfo usEasternZone = TimeZoneInfo.FindSystemTimeZoneById(US Eastern Standard Time); // say TimeZoneInfo indianZone = TimeZoneInfo.FindSystemTimeZoneById(India Standard Time); // say DateTime usEasternTime = TimeZoneInfo.ConvertTimeFromUtc(dt usEasternZone); DateTime indianTime = TimeZoneInfo.ConvertTimeFromUtc(dt indianZone); TimeSpan timeDiff = indianTime - usEasternTime; usEasternTime = new DateTime(2011 12 2); // or whatever the datetime to convert is Console.WriteLine(US Eastern Time {0} usEasternTime); indianTime = usEasternTime + timeDiff; Console.WriteLine(India Time Zone {0} indianTime);
