Could not savecurrently locked by another user how to solve

Hi I am using ms access database for storing records when i am use update command then it gives the error message that is could not save currently locked by another user how to solve this error? please help me Thanks in advance.

I think I'm right in saying that MS Access uses 'pessimistic locking' i.e. only one user can edit a particular record at any one time. So is it possible that other users could be concurrently accessing this table? - if it is you'll have to wait until they've finished. Is it even possible that you could already be accessing the record yourself because there's more than one instance of your program running? You could check Task Manager to see if this is the case.
