Counting lines of code to print

Question

Hello I am currently working on an assignment where we are asked to use c# code to read student records from a file: StudentNoSubject and mark. the tricky part is that for every line of code we print we should count and print on a new page when the line count reaches 60...anyone who can help even if its just the logic in pseudocode il appreciate it

I am not sure what a new page is in this context. In the past it was possible to write a page eject then continue. So instead of clearing the console we would eject the page. I am not sure what the Windows terminology is for a new page. Traditionally we would first write out page footers if any then page headers then the first line of a new page. If the requirements here are different then they need to be clarified.

The reason I used the array was because I thought the question was saying that the lines should be printed on a new page each time the count reached 60 (as opposed to line by line) but reading it again I may have misunderstood it.

I think the array is unnecessary. Yeah it's just clearing out all 60 elements of the array (setting them to null) in readiness for the next page. Although this doesn't take much time there's no actual need for it as you can simply overwrite the existing values and then use the value of count to determine how many lines need printing for the final page. lol Sam jea u right about my lecturer he claims he is really old and thanks about that input. @Vulpes thanks alot the program is working fine I was just wondering about the parameters in array.clear but I saw that they just specify what to clear in the array. Thanks alot.

If Vulpes's code does not do exactly what you need then it is easy to figure out how to do it especially if you use his code as pseudocode. Note that the assignment is for doing something that programmers in the past would do very often nearly every day. I assume that your iinstructor is as old as I (and maybe Vulpes) and is still using assignments from many years ago.
