Create a word document without using the COM object

Hi Is there any way in which i can CREATE a word document WITHOUT using the COM object. Thanks in advance

Actually i have a dataset containing the details for which i have to generate the document.In the site which you have mentioned they have hardcored some values(which i dont require).So can you Please help?
