Create category and subcategory

Hi all how to create category with subcategory in asp.net using sql database?

Then it seems easy. Just have a table containing the category as one of its fields. Then have another table and for each row there would be the category and subcategory ids plus other data such as the subcategory title. Then when you need to you can make a query that retrieves all subcategory rows that have a category matching the category that you need subcategories for.

Do you need just the two leveles or do you need to have many levels; in other words do subcategories need subcategories?
