Creating web user control and using it in two different websites

Hi I am creating a web user control for my website. I have created it and also using it. Now what I want to do is using this same web user control in another website. for this i have to manualy copy the files and have to make necessary changes to these files. So my question is: Is there any way to create a DLL with this web user control as in case of winforms so that we can use web user control in as many as application thanks

hi thanks for reply... can you please elaborate how to add web user control to a class library?. what i know is we can add a winform user control to a class library and not a web user control which is a .ascx file. When we create any webUserControl it becomes specific to that application and if we want it to use in another application we have to manualy copy related files and make appropriate changes. Now this is what i dont want to do. What i want is to use this same control across multiple websites just by adding reference or by any other way. Thanks jay

if you want it to be used as a DLL then you need to create a class library project and add the code in there and u can just add in the dll generated and start using the control. Thanks Lisa
