To add css file in u r project you can go to add new items and in installed templates you can select Style Sheet. Next after adding the style sheet you can create some element ids as well create some classes like bellow. .outer {width:943px;text-align:left; margin:0 auto; } #outer2 {width:923px;text-align:left; background-color:#595758; margin:0 auto; border-bottom:5px solid #ffcc00;} in above where is the .outer its one class and where is #outer2 is the element id. You can refer this classes in element id in your .aspx page for that you need to refer first the created .css file in head tag like and when you are creating now some element consider i'm creating div and for this div i need the style from css file then refere it like bellow another div to refer the class
