We can get Schema it dataTable using SQLdataReader like private DataTable getTablesSchema() { string connectionString = "Data Source=sandeepss- PC;database=Development;user=sa;password=knowdev" ; SqlConnection con = new SqlConnection (); con.ConnectionString = connectionString; SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand ( "Select * from Information_Schema.Tables" , con); con.Open(); SqlDataReader dr = cmd.ExecuteReader(); DataTable dt = new DataTable (); dt.Load(dr); return dt; } if we define condtion for table in select query then we get table specific schema. Here we are showing Schema for TABLE and View you defien your WHERE clause in SELECT statment according to "TABLE_NAME = EMPLOYEE and TABLE_TYPE=BASE TABLE"

yes we can..But it will take some extra coding instead.. So you can sue DataAdapter..
