Data type mismatch in criteria expression.

I want to insert a column a runtime on basis of the if condition which is defined but I got an exception that data mismatch. Please help thanks in advance

what is the datatype of 'Status column in City_Detail table? you are passing a string here and it seems Status is not a varchar type

Hey The error seems that you are passing wrong datatype value to the database. Make sure to pass string to string or int to int correctly. Rectifying this will solve your issue.

Hi Ravi Please check your table column dataypes. In textbox all the values will be consider as string. ex : in textbox if you enter the value 10  c# will consider it as string 10 . if you want to save it as number  please use Convert.ToInt32(yourvalue) So please check your table columns datatype for City_DetailsStatus If both column is declared as Text there is some issue. If anyone has number or datetime  you are getting this error. Please check your tables.
