Question

what is the difference b/w MSSQL & oracle.Is there difference in coding of sql of both or not.I want to be become a professional in asp.net which is the thing for me to learn MSsql or oracle.

The querys which you are going to be executed in oracle and sql are similar. Only the namespaces and the database providers while connecting from MSSQL and Oracle are different. Where as your asp code will be the same.

Hi prakash jha  Exactly the way of writing queries are almost similar but the way you write procedural code in sql and oracle are different and there are many featur which are not available in oracle like Common table expression (CTE)  Bulk copy  Bulk insert etc. So you need to decide what you want to perform and what are you requirements. If you really want to become professional in asp.net learn MSSQL. Why beacuse many of them will use SQL with asp.net. There will be many differences Oracle is very fast and powerful but requires significant expertise to maintain. MS SQL is easier to install and administer but is not not as scalable as Oracle. Although you can cluster several computers together to improve SQL Server's performance with Oracle you can use a grid of hundreds of computers to give your database virtually unlimited performance.
