Hi friends I want to ask about the Deadlocks in a Operating systems. Is there any practical method by which Deadlocks can be completely removed and never occur in a Operating systems?

Hi Jon Deadlock can occur whenever there is waitingA deadlock can happen with any kind of resource. So if you want to remove deadlock you need to avoid these basic conditions: 1. Limited access (lock-protected resources). 2. No preemption (if someone has the resource it can't be taken away). 3. Wait while holding (holding a resource while requesting and waiting for the next resource). 4. Circular chain of requests. Please do not forget to mark Accepted Solution.
