Sure Pravin. Every delegate has a invocation list which contains a list of all the methods that should be executed when the delegate is invoked. The += operator is C#'s syntax for adding a method to the invocation list (you can use -= to remove it). So that particular line adds the method SayGoodbye to del's invocation list. It can also be written more long-windedly like this: del += new Del(SayGoodbye);

Here's a simple example of a multicast delegate. Notice how when you invoke the delegate 'del' it calls both the SayHello and SayGoodbye methods: using System; delegate void Del(); class Test { static void Main() { Del del = SayHello; del += SayGoodbye; del(); Console.ReadKey(); } static void SayHello() { Console.WriteLine(Hello); } static void SayGoodbye() { Console.WriteLine(Goodbye); } }
