deploying C# windows application with microsoft access database

Question

Hello I am having trouble deploying a C# microsoft windows app from ( both visual studio express or full version ( 2008) w/microsoft access (2007). I deploy program but database is not with it. I want have database on local server and have about 5 people be able to user form from their desktops. ( my company will not let me install even express version of sql server- so I am forced to be working with microsoft access.) is there any tutorials - that explain w/msaccess- ( also I created project in full version and now am trying to deploy from pc withi only studio express) thank you

one more question? do the deployment procedures like click once- or other ways to deploy that package program in executable- do they just know where database is? as long as users have permissions to that shared location? and recreate the connection link by themselves?thank you

Do these 5 people share data? I am afraid MS Access is not for that. Access is good for storing local data per user. If you MUST share a single Access database from 5 applications from different machines your Access db must have permissions to share data. You are going to use OleDb classes (OleDbConnection for example) to connect with the database. Search this website for MS Access or OleDbConnection You or your admin must provide access on the MDB (Access) file to the network user and put on a shared drive. Your users (5 machines) must have that drive shared and mapped Then you use connection string with full path of that share drive.
