Desktop Capture

Question

How can i Capture my desktop other than using GDI? Is there any way i can capture my desktop thru DirectX? or capture my desktop as Video using directX? thanks

hi  i am also looking for a similar kind of a solution... i found a way.. there is some thing called push source filter which captures the desktop as an image... u can use this filter to connect to to an AVI mux filter. and connect avi mux filter to file writer/sink. and run the graph... hope u got what i said. ve
